I have worked at Strand Dental since qualifying from Bristol University in 1987, and am the longest serving partner at the practice. Over the years I am happy to say that I have built up a loyal list of patients that I now consider to be my friends. I particularly enjoy working with nervous and phobic patients, overcoming their fears with patience and gentle dentistry.I qualified from University Newcastle upon Tyne in 1992 and have worked at Strand Dental since my graduation. I have gained additional qualifications, both in general dentistry and also Dental Implantology, from the Royal College of Surgeons in London.

If you would like to book an appointment or if you have any questions regarding your dental health then please get in touch. If you find that you have a dental emergency during normal surgery hours you should contact the practice and we will arrange for you to be seen as quickly as possible. If the emergency occurs when the practice is closed, registered patients should call the practice number for details of how to contact the duty dentist.

I have been a patient of Toby's for several years and started my Invisalign course with him in April 2021 and recently completed it. Toby explained the whole process to me and I had regular check-ups throughout the treatment which reassured me. After my treatment ended I also did a course of whitening and had bonding on several teeth - I am so happy with the finished result. The whole experience was amazing and I would highly recommend Toby and the entire Strand team.

I have always been self conscious of my teeth since I was a teenager but finally decided to change that and booked in a consultation with Toby at Strand Dental. Toby and the team were incredibly knowledgeable and gave me the information on which treatment plan would be best for me. I can't thank them enough for giving me the confidence to smile again.

I have recently joined Strand Dental services after hearing about their excellent service from others. I saw Toby Roberts, who was incredibly approachable and I immediately felt put at ease. His calm manner enabled me to address all the concerns I had. He rectified all the difficulties I was experiencing and his attention to detail was of the highest quality. I recently changed practices after moving to Strand Dental and couldn't be happy with the service received so far. I was referred to Dr Roberts who was incredibly knowledgeable and managed to fill me with confidence before going through my last consultation. The service has been fantastic and very reasonable for the exceptional standards Strand Dental hold themselves to. I would happily recommend Dr Roberts and the rest of the team to anyone.

Can't recommend Strand Dental enough. All so welcoming and professional including receptionists, hygienists, dental nurses and dentists. Jamie, Toby and Vicky offer such a personal service and have gone above and beyond to put me at ease whilst working amazingly on my teeth. Recently I've had the whitening process which has exceeded my expectations.
