I had my first hygienist appointment with Jan today not only did she put me at ease before treatment she was caring and friendly. Excellent advice on how to keep my teeth clean in the future, Jan you are a super star!

Apologies for the long story, but it's a worthwhile read. At 9AM on Sunday 13th March I was due to jump in the car and drive down the M40 to get married after a 2 year COVID induced delay. At 4AM that morning a loud crack at my mouth woke me up, and to my horror I realised my bridge had fallen out and I now had a tooth sized gap in my smile. At 7AM, after 3 rather stressful hours I called the emergency number on Amsel & Wilkins' answering machine which was immediately answered by Nigel.

After explaining my emergency, Nigel told me to meet him at 8AM and he'd fix me right up. Nigel opened up the practice just for me, on a Sunday morning, and by 8.45AM I was walking back up Banbury High Street relaxed and stress-free (well as stress-free as you can be before your wedding) with all my teeth in my mouth - rather than in my pocket. By 4.30PM I was tucking into pork belly and crackling like nothing had happened.

A huge thank you to Nigel from me and my new wife for saving my smile on our wedding day, as well as from our photographer who you saved from many, many hours of photoshop. Finally, my bestwoman thanks you for the additional story for her speech, one that received plenty of gasps and laughter. From a very appreciative patient for life.

Since I have started going to Amsel and Wilkins it has changed my long rooted perception of dentists. You are always welcomed by friendly faces with a professional attitude. I have just come to the end of my invisalign go treatment with Nigel and the team and I couldn't be happier. The process was well layed out and detailed, I never felt pressured to do any one thing or go in a particular direction, you are given the options and opinions and you can make the best choices for you and your circumstances.

I was tempted to go with any of the well documented invisalign alternatives you see regularly advertised but I'm so happy I didn't now. Having gone through it all now, I really can see the benefit of the face to face appointments. There is no way the end product would have been as good with a home kit, given all the extra details and bits of work that are required to perfect your smile. I would have no hesitation recommending Nigel or the Amsel & Wilkins team to anyone in the future.

Invisalign treatment from Nigel was excellent: the aligners comfortable to wear, very slim and almost unnoticeable; the treatment was very quick, with only 10 sets to wear, and my teeth now look exactly how I envisioned.

I initially found Amsel and Wilkins because I was looking for a local provider of Invisalign retainers to straighten my increasingly crooked teeth. From the very first assessment through to completion (which has taken just 10 months) Piers and his dental assistant have been nothing short of exceptional. Piers was clear about expectations, consistently attentive and always professional and I could not be happier with the result.

The reception team are super helpful, always have a smile and my new hygienist has even succeeded in converting me to daily flossing, something that no hygienist has ever achieved. My entire family has now moved to the practice accessing care from an emergency tooth removal to regular check ups and cleaning. Keep up the amazing work A&W!

I have had a few treatments to fillings here over the last 18 months, all with no problems and friendly treatment, albeit expensive compared to other practices. However, recent suggestions that I needed to spend a lot (and I do mean a lot) on root canal and a crown would seem to be false, given that X-rays taken at a different practice show both root and nerve to be healthy.

I'm sure every practice would treat every patient differently, but I'm very happy to be told that I only need a check-up in 6 months rather than spend hundreds of pounds I would have to find. Tread carefully.

Amsel and Wilkins offer a top first class service. Right from my initial phone call answerd by warm and friendly receptionists, I can honestly say the team made my experience a pleasant one. I can not speak more highly of Nigel's and Sally's outstanding professional service, Nigel explained in detail every procedure along the way. I am delighted with my bridge and crown. I am hugely grateful to Nigel for restoring my smile and confidence.

Last week I had root canal work - a marathon 2 hr session in the capable hands of Ruby and assisted by Jess. Both lovely, extremely kind and a job well done. Told I would have pain - not so. Couldn't be more pleased.

Client care is always first class at Amsel & Wilkins but at my last appointment it went above and beyond expectations. I arrived late and a bit shaken after a traffic incident en route. My dentist, Nigel, personally arranged for me to take my car to a local garage after the appointment and suggested we adapt the treatment plan for the day as I was feeling a bit wobbly. I was extremely grateful for the kindness and care shown.

I can highly recommend this dental practice. I always feel in very safe hands. Helpful and friendly staff alongside state of the art equipment - a great combo! I had fillings done to today and managed to fall asleep during the procedure. Well done to Nigel and the team.

These guys are first rate. From the girls on reception, to Nigel my dentist. Just superb. Nigel managed to remove a tooth for me and even though it was awkward, never panicked or moaned. Given some good advice going forward too and not purely trying to line his pockets. Highly recommended.

We would like to congratulate you all on the way you are dealing with providing your clients with a safe environment to allow us to receive dental care. We were both very apprehensive to come in as we did not know how your new procedures would work but from the moment we walked into reception we felt confident in the knowledge that every precaution was being taken to protect not just us but the staff as well It did feel strange sitting in the waiting room without a magazine to read or the usual flowers and leaflets on the tables, it was a very different visit to our previous appointments. Sadly, this is going to be the new normal for many years to come but if it saves lives it will be worth it.

The team here are just amazing! I am extremely nervous to a level off the scale! Nigel is my dentist and I always time my visits when Sally is working with him. I am so bad that even having cotton wool in my mouth freaks me out. Nigel picked up on the stress this caused me during the treatment so very simply removed it and himself and Sally worked away without it, probably making their job much more difficult and longer!

They are both so lovely, compassionate and supportive. I can't say I enjoy going to the dentist as my nervousness is so extreme, but I know I will be well looked after by these amazing guys. I have recommended them to so many people and can not speak highly enough of these two. Thank you for being so patient and understanding with me.
