There has been a dental practice at 30 Zetland Road since the 1920's and in 1997 it was purchased by its current owner Simon Dunn. Hannah Knight joined the practice in 2001 straight after qualification at Bristol Dental Hospital. She works part time between reception and surgery duties. Her GDC number is 126718. There might be a lot of familiar faces when you come to the Dentist each visit, and that's because all of our staff have been at Zetland Road together for at least 14 years, with the majority being a team for over 20 years.
Services
Zetland Road Dental Practice offers the complete range of services expected in dentistry today. The reception staff are able to answer any queries that you may have and the practice welcomes all adult patients on a private basis. We take new patients on a private basis only as the practice does not have an NHS contract, although children and students are seen under a reduced fee scale.
Dental implants can be used in a variety of ways to help replace missing teeth or to secure loose dentures. Implants are effectively threaded screws made of titanium, a metal which the body does not recognise as "foreign". This allows for the bone into which the implant is placed to heal around the implant and become united with it, a process referred to as osseo-integration.
Dentistry has undergone many changes in recent years with the advent of techniques to improve both the shape and colour of teeth with a poor appearance. The use of porcelain and tooth coloured filling materials can greatly enhance the appearance of a person's smile. This can be either carrying out work that has to be done, or something that somebody wants but that has no health benefit, in a way that enhances their appearance. The following is a guide to prices but a full estimate is given for every course of treatment and includes comparative fees if there are several treatment options available. A thin cover added to the front of a tooth to restore of change the colour and shape of the tooth. Parking restrictions are in place in Redland and surrounding areas.

Moving to this dentist was one of my best decisions. I have had a lot of very bad experiences, as well as gum problems for years. Simon and his wonderful team have helped, me, and always acted in my very best interests, it has been pain free, they are very gentle and professional. I have never been so cared for at a dentist. I can't thank the practice enough for all their experience, knowledge, and care. All the staff have been just fantastic.

Had been with Simon for several years but changed dentists when I moved to the other side of the city. During lockdown I lost a tooth and wanted an implant. As Simon had done a previous implant very successfully I decided to go back to him. Simon was very helpful and professional. He was willing to do the implant but pointed out that the adjacent teeth were loose (rugby and football injuries).
He gave me options and did not pressurise me in any way. I decided to go for a four teeth implant rather than replace them one at a time. The whole procedure took some months but was well worth it. Simon explained every phase, the potential problems and remedies. He and his staff were very professional and I felt comfortable at each phase. I have decided to stay with Simon including the hygienist who is also very impressive. The implants fitted first time and I am very pleased with them. A big Thanks to Simon and his staff.

My name is Louise Cleaver. I've been going to Simon for well over 20 years, where I initially started because a previous dentist was very unprofessional telling me I'd have to have several teeth out. the fillings I'd had were painful (long story) left me terrified of going to the dentist! Anyway the first visit with Simon, he put me at ease straight away. so glad I found him. haven't looked back since. He's a fabulous dentist. Professional and pain free! Kind and gentle. couldn't rate him high enough :)
