The dentists in our practice regularly attend post graduate courses/training to enable us develop our knowledge and skills ensuring that we are up to date in our field. In order to save our patients from the fads of our profession we walk the careful path of "not being the first but not being the last either". After qualifying in 1979, Seth worked in the Hospital Service for seven years in the specialities of Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry, and gained his Fellowship in 1984.Since coming into general practice in 1986 he has extended his interests into Orthodontics, and is now Clinical Teacher in Orthodontics at the University of Bristol Dental School.

A veneer is a new front surface for a tooth, custom made at the laboratory. Veneers are extremely versatile and can be used to align crowded or protruding teeth, close gaps or lighten tooth colour. This patient had lost his front teeth, a denture was made which not only helped him to regain function but also gave a great aesthetic result.
Whichever payment scheme you choose, private care pays for the use of the best material, the best laboratories and the most advanced techniques available with no time pressure. Treatment can be carried out on a "pay-as-you-go" basis or we also offer Denplan's affordable private dental scheme. This allows you to budget for your dental treatment by paying a monthly subscription and avoids the worry of unexpected bills. In addition it provides emergency dental cover worldwide.
When booking your appointment, we will normally seek a deposit from you, payment of which is your confirmation of your commitment to attend your appointment. Our deposits are normally fully refundable providing sufficient notice of cancellation is given. However if you fail to attend the appointment or do not give 24 hours notice then we reserve the right to keep charge your deposit.

I have always had excellent care at this dental practice that I have been a patient at for many years. I received especially considered, thoughtful care from Francis who explained things in a way that were easy to understand which was refreshing. He was extremely professional yet also friendly and warm, it made visiting the dentist feel actually quite pleasant! Thank you to all at the practice for all you do.

I had a chipped tooth recently, and my dentist, Ian, did an amazing job of fixing it. I have been a patient of Stoke Gifford Dentist for many years now, and I cannot stress how professional and caring they are, from the welcoming reception staff, all the way up to dentists and assistants. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for really professional dental care. Michael

Fantastic service. Contacted them on Monday morning with severe tooth ache, was being seen at 10.20am that morning. Tooth removed, and pain free. Even had a follow up call the day after, to check how I was feeling. If only everyone in the customer service industry, were as good as this. Once again, thank you so much

I have been coming here for over 34 years and cannot say a wrong thing about this practice. They are all very friendly from receptionists to dental nurses to dentists. Highly recommend! Excellent with children. Brilliant with nervous patients ( if they can cope with me and make me feel at ease they can cope with anyone!) 10/10.
