Dr Miller's practice is a caring, considerate and hygienic one, where the patient comes first. Caring dentistry isn't just about teeth - it's about people: understanding them and their needs and giving them the service they deserve. Dr Miller's interests in the dental field are wide and he undertakes all aspects of high quality general dentistry, but his practice is also known for the treatment of anxious patients.

Tooth whitening can be a practical method of lightening the colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surfaces, so it is very conservative of tooth material and under the guidance of a dentist, very safe. It can result in a dramatic colour change; but may also be used to give a more youthful appearance to the teeth in a subtle way.
At Douglas Miller's practice we have a unique understanding of phobic and anxious patients. If you are anxious about dental treatment, you will be treated with the utmost consideration and understanding. You will be given back the control that you may feel has been taken away from you elsewhere, and, we will never judge you.
An implant is a titanium metal tooth root form. The implant is secured into the jaw onto which a new bespoke tooth may be placed to give the appearance of an original tooth. The implant must integrate to the bone before the crown may be attached and this process may take a few months. The advantage of an implant is that it involves no shaping of the teeth either side of a gap and it preserves bone in the jaw there.
The majority of tooth decay and many other dental problems can be avoided by following basic tooth hygiene and making sure that you attend regular check-ups. Our experienced Hygienists will not only provide you with the highest quality of treatment, scaling and polishing your teeth, but will also help you to maintain your teeth and gums in good condition to reduce the likelihood of additional dental treatment, and advising you on diet, dental aftercare and even on the correct toothbrush and paste for you.
Snoring can lead to friction at home, resulting in couples sleeping apart and can be socially devastating. Snoring can be a symptom of obstruction of the airways, blocking the ability to breathe properly at night. This means snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea can result in a decrease in oxygen getting to the brain during sleep.

By far the most caring, patient dentist I've ever encountered in the U.K. I'm so grateful for the care and treatment I've received at Douglas Miller Dental Practice. As a phobic patient, I value attention to bedside manner as much as quality of work, and Dr. Miller delivers on both. Thank you so much!

I have been a patient of Dr Miller for over 25 years. He is a wonderful dentist, caring, very experienced and always looks for the best possible solution to any problem or query, big or small. I paid a routine visit to Dr Miller today, (the first time since Coronavirus) and was so impressed with the measures he and his amazing team have gone to. They have an anti-viral fogging machine which is used between each patient to disinfect his surgery and they also have a medical grade air purifier.
I had to wear a mask upon entering the surgery and Dr Miller and his team ensure that only one patient is present in the practice at any one time. Dr Miller has always taken the well being of his patients extremely seriously and even more so in the current climate. I felt totally safe and looked after at all times. First Class dentist, first class experience. Thank you
