The Craigentinny Dental Health Centre

Utterly appalling dental practice. Tried to book an appointment a few days ago and was advised that they would no longer be taking appointments from me because I had missed an appointment in February. I DID NOT book an appointment in February nor was I notified that an appointment had been made. Upon advising of this mistake I was told that they had spoken to the dentist and he had stated that he would not be accepting any bookings from me. Disgusting behaviour for a dental practice which claims to care for those with dental phobias. I would strongly advise that anyone looking for a caring dentist in Edinburgh contact Cherrybank Dental Spa because Craigentinny is on a downhill slope.

I've been going to this practice for a few years now. I finally decided to have some cosmetic dental work done on my teeth. It was quite a lot of work I had done. I have to say, from start to finish, Fraser was absolutely brilliant. Everything was planned out to make sure I was truly happy before we proceeded to the next stage. The difference in my smile is unreal!

I am so glad I went ahead with the treatment, I no longer need to cover my mouth when I'm laughing and smiling. It has really boosted my confidence. If you are thinking about cosmetic dentistry Fraser is your man! He knows his stuff! Everyone in the practice are truly lovely and welcoming. A wonderful experience all round

This is by far the most friendly, professional and welcoming dental practice I have experienced. As someone who has complex oral problems which have led to me being somewhat "cast off" by other dentists, I cannot exoress how delighted I am to have found CDC. The fact that the practice has "care" in its name is entirely appropriate.

After an unfortunate accident I was recommended this dentist practice by a friend. It has been the best recommendation anyone has given me. From first consultation through to a dental implant and post care everything has been honest giving me choices based on dental conditions /cost /future. And during treatment I've felt far more pain stubbing my toe than getting a screw in my jaw for an implant.

I was going to say special thanks to Fraser (dentist), the dental nurses (I'm not a great patient) and the hygienists (who have got my teeth in amazing condition considering I hadn't seen a dentist in 10+yrs) and the reception staff (for working around my shifts) but I think that's the whole practice so, aye, I wholeheartedly recommend.

Having attended Craigentinny Dental Practice since I was young, I have always had a great experience. Recently I had some extra work done on my teeth and the standard and professionalism was second to none. I would give Fraser and the team 5 stars, always so friendly and kind, with a warm and genuine reception. I have recommended many people to attend the practice when unsure where to go, and they too have had just as good an experience as myself.

I have a long standing fear of dentistry, which is related to a traumatic experience I had as a teenager. I have avoided going to the dentist for the last 40 years. However, earlier this year I could no longer ignore my dental health, as it started to affect my mental health quite badly. The dental phobia forum suggested that I get in touch with Craigentinny Dental Care.

I did their fantastic online course and made an appointment. I have finished my treatment for now, and I can only say that it has been a life changing experience for me. I want to thank everybody at Craigentinny Dental Care for looking after me with so much care. I want to specially mention my dentist Fraser, who is a wizard as I didn't feel any pain at all during treatment. Amazing!

I can't recommend Fraser highly enough. He is professional whilst has a kind and caring manner. For any patient who has anxiety, he would be the perfect choice. After many years of avoiding treatment due to a fear of needles and poor care at a previous dental practice, I plucked up the courage to seek help at Craigentinny Dental Care. I'm so glad I did. Miriam Figge is an incredible dentist. She always provides explanations for what she is doing, how it is going to feel and what I can expect. She discussed various treatment options so I could make an informed choice of how I wanted my dental treatment plan to go and always provided advice on aftercare that I should follow up at home. Miriam is professional, kind and considered my needs, for example by helping put me at ease when I become overwhelmed by my fear of needles.

After six months, I have now finished all of my treatment and feel like I have a renewed sense of confidence. I feel really taken care of and very well looked after over the course of my treatment plan. I don't think anyone likes going to the dentist, but when you experience this level of first class service and care, it can make what is typically a stressful experience - especially for those who fear the dentist, significantly less so. Miriam is a credit to Craigentinny Dental Care and this review is to acknowledge her high levels of professionalism and exceptional standards. I cannot recommend her and Craigentinny Dental Care highly enough. Thank you.

Having been very dissatisfied by a large commercial private practice in Edinburgh, I recently moved to this dentist and have been extremely pleased with the service available I've since had a new patient checkup, hygenist treatment and a small filling and of the half dozen dentists I've seen over the years, I'd rate this practice as one of the best.

What amazed me most was that my dentist there, David Kilroy, managed to give me the first entirely pain free dental injection I've ever had (and I've had quite a few having had wisdom teeth removed under a local before). Before I even noticed he's made the injection, I could feel my mouth going numb. Highly recommended!
