Aquae Sulis Dental Practice

Very good experience! Special thanks to Dr. Rachael Hampton and her assistant. I've been suffering from inflammation of my wisdom teeth, and I have a phobia of the edge. As a foreigner, I was very nervous coming to the clinic! On the day of the tooth extraction, I was close to collapse (due to pain fear) when I was still not up to standard after several anaesthetic injections. Dr. Rachael Hampton and her assistant tried to calm me down and help me out. Finally my wisdom teeth were successfully removed! Well done! Thanks again to all staff for their help. It was a very pleasant experience.

After over 10 years of faffing about and various procedures elsewhere, I scoured the internet for someone I could trust to sort out my dead front tooth - fillings and canal bleaching had failed, and I had started to loose jaw bone around the tooth as my body rejected it being there. I got a couple of quotes, I normally attend an NHS practise so not a big spender on dentistry.

In the end I decided to stretch the budget a bit because I'd concluded Ian was the top man. I wasn't wrong. Ian actually cares. I mean, really cares about the quality of his work and getting the right result for the patient. He's done thousands of implants, so has buckets of experience to go with the knowledge - we've had some fascinating conversations (I'm keen on details).

The first stages of the treatment were well explained and executed, when we got the crown in we concluded we weren't happy with the colour match. It took a few more goes to get it spot on - unsurprisingly it's quite challenging to get the colour and shape just right for a front tooth, especially with my non-textbook grimace of a smile! Ian did not pressure me into accepting something I was not happy with, he wanted it to be the best it could - in his words "Once it's done I want you to forget it, you shouldn't notice it".

That's how the story ends, I haven't noticed it since the day after it was done, and I wasn't charged a penny more for the extra attempts with the crowns. This is the guy you need.

I had not been to a dentist for the best part of 10 years before I came to see Luke and the team and was, as you might imagine, quite apprehensive. From the moment I walked in the door I have rarely been met with such professionalism, compassion and expertise. Luke and the dental team have absolutely transformed my appearance and with it my confidence.

I am genuinely amazed by the results. The level of detail and care that is taken by everyone at the practice is such that, over the course of several treatments, I came to actually look forward to my appointments. The after care I've received has been outstanding in every way; one one occasion Luke came in on his day off in order to ensure I received treatment. Oh and there's parking!

Myself and my husband had a consultation with Dr Mirza prior to our wedding day. Although my husband got orthodontic work, Dr Mirza managed to align my teeth with a really simple process which only took an hour! He also set me off on a course of whitening and I couldn't be happier with the results. No major cosmetics but it gave me more confidence on our big day! Thank you x

I have never written a review for any service I have received or purchase made - ever! Having been to Aquae Sulis for over 12 months of extremely intensive/extensive treatment I feel compelled to share my experience. I am a mature lady who, over the years has experienced some horrendous and detrimental dental treatment, all of which I endured for the sake of vanity!

I was becoming increasingly concerned about the condition and appearance of my teeth and my dentist, at the time, recommended a full set of implants as the solution. I was horrified. A dear friend recommended Dr Ian Bellamy at Aquae Sulis in Bath. I live in South Devon so had obvious reservations about the time and distance involved. I had a lengthy telephone consultation with Ian and my fears were allayed.

I am one appointment away from completion of my treatment. There are only two back teeth that Ian was unable to salvage and replaced with implants. The rest of my teeth and gums are healthy, look absolutely brilliant and I couldn't be more delighted. Ian and his team are totally professional, experienced, friendly and caring. Having spent years of feeling physically sick prior to a dental appointment I can honestly say (and I do know this sounds a bit mental!) I actually look forward to the 250 mile round trip to see them all. 5 stars and couldn't be more highly recommend by me. What price a SMILE?

After a sporting injury 10 years ago I've had to repeatedly have my front teeth repaired. I dread every trip to the dentist and have never really been that happy with the results. After years of stressful trips to the dentist with slightly disappointing results I decided to try a new dentist and tried Aquae Sulis - my experience couldn't have been more different.

My dentist (Luke Mirza) was amazing from start to finish, making me feel comfortable and at ease. He was professional, yet not too formal which meant I could relax and not get too worked up like I usually do. The final result looked fantastic - so much better than any of the work I've had done since the injury. I've always been slightly self-conscious about these teeth but now they look as good as new! Trying a new dentist felt like a big risk at the time but I'm so glad I did, while I don't want to make dentist trips a regular thing, when I need to I'll be much happier going back to see Luke.

Ian Bellamy saw me when I was in pain and my current dentist would not give me an appointment for a week. He was reassuring, gentle and made the treatment of an infection and root filling needed far less painful! The practice is a very relaxing, bright and 'enjoyable' environment, with easy access and parking. The Reception staff were friendly and clearly part of a happy team. I received a call the next day to check on my condition. Relieved and grateful; I will be switching dentists!

I have experienced many dental issues over the years and last year I reluctantly conceded it was time to have my front tooth removed. I had very little bone left as well as a root filling. There was a hole in my gum and besides that there was very little gum left. Ian referred me to Gaston King who grafted a new gum line to perfection. I have been through three sets of temporary bridges and have just been fitted with a permanent porcelain set.

Since my treatment started back in November I have had around 15 appointments at Aquae Sulis and have not dreaded any of them! There is a lot to be said for not dreading the dentist I think. You always pay what's quoted and there are no hidden extras. My new teeth look amazing, really natural. I cannot imagine ever changing dentists again. I have tried a few over the years and have never been truly happy with any of them.

Good cosmetic dentists are hard to find and often when you find one you don't like them very much! Ian is very likeable and I knew I had made the right choice as soon as I met him. All of the staff are lovely and there's parking. What more could you want!
