In a healthy person with a healthy mouth and bone, implant roots (the metal part) should last as long as natural teeth. They need caring for as natural teeth do. The crowns or bridges supported by the implants can last a decade or more. Dental implant treatment is a minor surgical procedure that is carried out under local anaesthetic and has been performed for many years, with an excellent success rate. Once your new implant has been placed we normally wait around three to six months to allow full healing, then we can place a new tooth.

The best dentist I have ever been too, I hadn't been for many many years, I was terrified but Colin was excellent, I had to have teeth removed and he made sure I was ok all the way through and I can honestly say I didn't feel a thing. I have been going to Thorpe Lea Dental Practice for over 20 years. Having previously been phobic about Dentists - I found a dentist that is caring, professional and exceptional at what he does! I moved to Oxfordshire 15 years ago, but gladly make the 100+ mile round trip to Staines for my dental work!.

Exceptional dental care provided by whole team at Thorpe Lea Dental. Dr. Collin and Libby Brown takes care of my entire family. I was nervous patient too when I started and I'm no longer. In the past i have not had great experiences with dentists which made my visits to them minimal. Since becoming a patient at Thorpe lea dental for over 10 years my experiences have been nothing more then warm friendly, reassuring and PAIN FREE! This is mostly down to James who takes his time to ensure he carries all the above out on each visit with myself and my 2 daughters. I would absolutely recommend them especially if you are nervous patient like i was.
