The Family Dental & Implant Centre is a state-of-the-art dental practice in Somerset, which has been established since 1996. We will provide advice around how to best maintain your oral health and work in partnership with you.
Our reception team will welcome you to our practice and guide you through a questionnaire. This is to establish your current oral health needs and includes a confidential medical history assessment. You will then be seen by our dentist who will carry out a comprehensive evaluation of your dental health.
This specially designed machine uses a combination of water, fine powder particles and compressed air to polish a tooth's surface. In addition to removing plaque and tackling staining, the treatment also clears the gum line of any harmful bacteria for a more thorough clean. Airflow Tooth Polishing helps to create cleaner teeth, healthier gums and freshens breath.
A dental bridge is a prosthetic tooth which is anchored by another tooth in you mouth, literally 'bridging' the gap left by a lost tooth. Dental bridges are fixed restorations, which means they can only be removed by your dentist. Adhesive Bridges: These bridges are applied to the inside of the teeth surrounding the gap.

We contacted The Family Dental Practice, as my husband was in a lot of pain as his Dentist let him down on an emergency appointment. Anthony Sheppard was Extremely accommodating & understanding with finding a cancellation slot. After examination the tooth was extracted very professionally and pain-free. The staff and Anthony were very friendly and professional & have gained themselves 2 new very happy patients! Would definitely recommend this practice. A VERY BIG Thankyou

Long and painful experience. Came in to this practice to fix front tooth when Composit filling broke off. Have been advised by young female dentist that I need a veneer. She sounded very reassuring, agreed on six top raw veneers. Six months and five thousand pounds later I've got those veneers in. Let's forget for a while that on one of those sessions I was injected an elephant dose painkiller, which made me sneeze, caugh and choke while under a drill, my face was swollen and painful to to touch for two days.
But it seem to be that the young female dentist and their dental technician doesn't know what a symmetry or vertical line is, which normally children learn that at the age of 6. So ended up with wonky teeth. Money down the drain!
