Portner Pittack Dental Practice

Have been going to this dentist for years. for a reason! Started off completely terrified and gradually have come to trust that they are experts and professionals and it will be OK. Friendly too!

I've been going to Portner Pittack since I was very young and Jonathan Portner was my dentist for many years. Jonathan has since retired, and employed the lovely Tajel Patel in his stead. I've just finished a whitening treatment plan with her and the results truly exceeded my expectations, to say that I'm happy is an understatement. Jonathan truly could not have found a better dentist, she truly cares about her patients and is an overall lovely and experienced person

P &P have been our dentist for many years and I can highly recommend them. Very friendly and professional team, 1st class. My partner is nervous about medical procedures, injections etc. but they always put him at ease.

Rob has been looking after my teeth for a number of years. He is the best dentist I have ever had. Is sensible about interventions and doesn't propose unnecessary things. He is always very kind and good humoured: I am not scared of going to the dentist! The whole support team and nursing team are outstanding. It is a really very well run operation indeed.

Having only been recommended to the practice back in the summer, I have been very impressed with everyone and everything that the practice offers. The reception staff are always bright, cheery and helpful and even though with PPE, I still have yet to fully see some members of the team, they have always been extremely professional in every way possible.

My main dealings have been with Rachel, the hygienist, a true delight in the way she explains precisely what she is doing and the treatment she is administering and Jon who even knowing that I am not the most straightforward of patients, has been patient, understanding and also extremely professional in everything he has done. He helped me restore my own confidence in dentist treatment and I have been very impressed with the way he has treated me.

I must also mention Wayne Halfpenny who again could not have been any more helpful or professional in the way he treated me. In this most challenging year for so many professions and especially those involved in health, I have no hesitation in recommending this practice.

I have been visiting Portner Pittack Dental Practice since I was a child and, despite moving away from the area, I always return for my dentist and hygienist appointments. The staff are extremely professional and welcoming with customer satisfaction at the heart of everything they do. Over the years, time and again they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to care for my family and I. I thoroughly recommend Portner Pittack Dental Practice. They are the best at what they do.

Everyone at the practice makes you feel very welcome and at ease. Having previously encountered dental visits that have made me feel uncomfortable and pressured into treatment, Portner Pittack are a breath of fresh air. I've had numerous visits to Mr Portner and his team and I would highly recommend this practice from a patient who has had over 10 visits there.

I was recommended to see Jonathan as I was a very nervous patient and my teeth were in a very bad state. He spent time reassuring me of how the treatment plan would work. I had several appointments with Regina the Hygienist, who was amazing, before any dentistry could start. I have had 2 intensive appointments and at no time have I felt any pain or the anxiety I normally feel.

My teeth and the general health of my mouth has improved enormously. The care taken regarding Covid precautions are of the highest standard and everyone treats you extremely well. I would recommend very highly.

I highly recommend Rob and the Portner Pittack dental practice. I've recently needed a tooth extraction, dental work done on another tooth and a night guard made. Everything was completed smoothly and efficiently. Rob was always very punctual, considerate and professional. I trust him to take care of my teeth. I explained to him that I had some dental anxiety (much of which has gone away since I had such positive experiences. as positive as they can get considering what I needed done!) I also take my three kids to Rob and have had good experiences with them as well.

One of my sons has enough adult teeth to start having sealants put on and everything had gone swimmingly. If you need a dentist (which you probably do), go to Rob and his team for all your dental needs. and I wouldn't say this lightly since I have high dental standards as my uncle was a dentist and I grew up in North America where there is a high standard of general dentistry. - Lydia

Was recommended to this practice, by former dental rep, having just moved into the area. Practice, is clean and light, staff very friendly. Had a dental check up with Jonathan Portner, and a hygienist appointment with Rachel Lister. Both were exceptionally professional. Very few people, I suspect 'enjoy' going to the dentist (myself included), but I can honestly say the visit and the experience has to rated as one of the best and relaxed I have had. Given I am 50+ years old, that should be seen as the compliment that it is meant to be. Would 100% recommend this practice.
