Oaklands Dental Surgery

My daughter had an emergency tooth removal today. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, especially with a very anxious mom like me. Awas was my daughter's dentist and Anu was her nurse. They were absolutely fantastic with her despite her nervousness. They took everything at her pace and made sure she felt completely comfortable. I would highly recommend this dental practice and all the staff we encountered.

Over many of my later years Tom was just so understanding patient with as my 30 year old implants began serious deterioration resulting in many visit for dental surgery involving removal of the majority of my all my teeth. Tom was so helpful with the eating problems I was experiencing he sent a letter on my behalf to the Dental Hospital in Manchester.

As a result of Tom reference I heard nothing from the hospital for almost 3 years due to covid restrictions. Then out of the blue last Sept 2021 I received a call to confirm I had been awarded a full grant for Dental Implants. This has now taken place. My wife and me moved to Scotland in Nov 2019 and lived in our motorhome next to a cottage we had purchased.

But covid prevented completion of necessary improvement work forcing us to register with a dentist in our new area. Sadly we had to move back to live with friends in Longton Nr Preston and sell our motorhome - it became necessary for me to attend the Dental Hospital every two weeks and the treatment has only just finished (March 2022) following re-alignment of lower jaw, implants, new lower full denture to fit my new jaw.

It was extremely fortunate I had no dental problems whilst living with the friends in Longton. I could not register with Tom again as I had no permanent address in England. For the first time in 3 yrs I am able to eat solid food (steaks, apples, toast, chips etc). Without Tom Garcia help and understanding of my predicament I would never have known of the Dental Hospital in Manchester or the availability of Grant.

Thank you Tom so much - in someway you saved my life - I was losing weight considerably, had become seriously depressed because of the embarrassment of opening my mouth with no teeth, could no longer smile and life was not really worth living. Hence the reason to get away and live in a remote area Scotland. If I return to live in England I would have no hesitation in returning to Oakland Surgery and hopefully would be accepted as a patient again.

As a patient of over 10 years I am very happy to recommend Oaklands. Tom and Jo have always given me and my two children excellent care. I've been seen by other dentists here also for emergencies and they're all caring and professional. I recently had a root canal which I was quite nervous about after suffering infection but everything has been handled so quickly and efficiently, and the treatment it's self was painless. I travel 14 miles to continue to use since moving and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I was recommended this dentist by a doctor as my dentist retired and I suffer from dental anxiety due to several bad experiences in the past. I went for a check up with Tom and his assistant they were very professional and understanding and took the time to listen to all my worries and were very reassuring which made me feel comfortable and positive.

My first appointment was with the hygienist, she was great and my teeth felt and looked much better. Then I plucked up the courage to have a big filling removed and replaced. Wow Tom was amazing he did a really good job and I never felt a thing! Thank you Highly recommend this dentist

I suffer with extreme anxiety and was due to have a tooth extraction, the build up to my appointment was horrendous, my dental nurse called me and was very understanding and did her best to assure me all will be ok on the day. Stella has been my dentist for 19 years now and I trust her completely, she took her time explaining the procedure, and was reassuring throughout.

I was so thankful to her and the nurse, all went smoothly and if I ever needed any more teeth out I don't believe it would be half as bad as I originally thought. Big thanks to Stella and team!

After my original Dentist retired I really struggled with negative and disinterest replacement Dentist, so I did unfortunately neglect my gums and teeth, as a committed Denplan customer I really had no excuse. So long story short I thank the Lord that I changed and found this Practice. From the Receptionists, Hygienist and Dental Practitioner I have nothing but praise. Tom was very empathetic and sympathetically honest.

I had vigorous Hygienist programme prescribed due too a mouthfull of veneers which I neglected. And i now have a beautifull part new set of nashers ie a Veneer Bridge. All of the work from Hygienist to Dental work pain free, never felt a thing, I'm soo grateful and thankfull I found your Practice.

I have recently this year been visiting Oakland's Dental Surgery after moving away from the area and in need of treatment to replace a crown and various cosmetic issues I wanted to address. Thomas Gacesa was the dentist that carried out my dental work and I have to say he is the best dentist I have ever visited in all my 59 years of having teeth. I have never felt a needle injection or drill that he has used, he is that gentle.

He always has time to listen to any questions or concerns you have and is never in a hurry to rush you out the door. I can not rate him more highly and would and have not hesitated to reccomended him and the Oakland's team to others, for their professionalism and the caring disposition each and everyone of them displays. I do not normally write reviews but I felt compelled to do so for this exceptionally well deserving dental practice. With regards to price they are more than reasonable compared to other dental practices in the area. Thank you for helping me to SMILE!

The receptionist have always been warm and welcoming and the general appearance of the practice is very clean and inviting. I have seen all 3 dentists at one time or another and have always felt as though all treatments have been explained to me in depth and that my personal thoughts and opinions have been taken on board.
