Established over 21 years ago under the Smilecare brand, we have built a reputation for caring, high-quality dentistry. Our skilled team and state-of-the-art facilities enable us to provide the very best in dental treatment. The practice has a sound heritage, and in 1961 was one of the first 'purpose-built' dental centres in the country.
We have a very simple philosophy: The very best quality of treatment, provided with care and personal attention, in accordance with the most up-to-date techniques. Over many years we have worked very hard to be able to deliver this level of dentistry. The dentists, nurses, and staff regularly undertake courses to keep abreast of current knowledge and procedures.
As a practice we constantly strive to be at the cutting edge of dental technology and skills. Over the years we have often led the way in receiving awards and recognition for the services we offer. In 2001 we were the first practice in the UK to be officially awarded the British Dental Association Good Practice Scheme plaque as recognition of our commitment to provide dental services to nationally recognised best practice standards. Again in 2002 we were one of the first practices in Sussex to achieve Investors In People status.

I chose this surgery based on the reviews as they were excellent. I needed extensive treatment to correct my teeth and I knew this would be a bit of a journey! On my first visit the whole plan was discussed with Robert and he showed me some of the great work that he had carried out in the past. He fully explained the whole process and made me aware of the costings beforehand.

This was a 12 week journey and I can honestly say that at no time, during some very intrusive treatment, did I feel pain or great discomfort.the techniques Robert used obviously come from many years of experience and for being an excellent dentist! This treatment was carried out during Covid and the lengths they went to to prevent infection was incredible.

During my many visits, I also got to know the really friendly Reception team and Dental Nurses who also made this a much better experience than I was expecting! The end result has changed my life, given me confidence and given me back my smile. Thank you all so much and well done for now being my permanent dentist!

Called to book an emergency orthodontic appointment. Receptionist was rude so this totally put me off and I went elsewhere.

I had booked with the hygienist in April and receptionist said that it will cost me 59 for 30 min. Due to Covid19 my appointment was cancelled and I had to rebook but nobody told me about the changing prices, it went up for 10. As it was my first time going there I missed the last turn and arrived 8 min later. Nobody told me that my appointment gonna be cut to half time and instead of 30 min I was in clinic 20 min but their also was questions what tipe of toothbrushes, toothpaste and flossing I am using so with open mouth it was even less than 15 min. Honestly 69for 15 min. isn't overpriced?

Normally when you get a bit late the session runs a bit over the appointment slot, but never gets cuts in half. Some times I am the one affected by appointments before mine running late and nothing happens we are all humans. I do not feel nice paying full price for half the time even more because no-one told me the price had increased.

A very Professional Dental Practice. Robert performed an outstanding job on my teeth over the past year. The work was very complex and difficult. He is extremely committed to getting things perfect and is a very skilled operator. He has a pleasant manner which relaxes the patient. The rest of the Team provided a high level of Customer care.

Rude receptionists, & dental nurse with no customer service skills whatsoever. Dentist kept changing prices, going up on every visit! When you're paying thousands of pounds for implants, you expect good customer service & to feel valued as a customer, instead of which, the Dentist & his staff are off Hand & flipant. Would never recommend or go back for treatment! Having already spent over 1000 of my money with them!

I've used Smilecare for all my dental requirements for about 10 years and it's the only practice I've ever used that I would recommend without reservation. Rob and his team are always welcoming and explain things in great detail. I recently had some extensive bridge and crown work completed entirely to my satisfaction and at reasonable cost.

I have been with this practice since its inception. I was amazed then on the innovations that this new practice brought in which made it easier and more accurate to monitor my oral hygiene and to suggest where corrective action could be considered before nature took a wrong turn. The amount of fillings I already had prior to this had suggested to me that the only thing that would go wrong in my mouth was metal fatigue.

How wrong could I be! It became clear to me that a long term monitoring management plan was necessary to ensure that as age and wear took their toll on my teeth they would continue to serve me well. Every time I visit everything has been thoroughly explained on what could be considered. No pressure has ever been applied and this has developed into a strong trust being built so much so that I have had my sons seen to as well with the similar satisfactory outcomes.

I have recommended this practice to others too if ever the conversation turns to bad experiences elsewhere. Like many people I take a deep breath when the next appointment comes up and admit to prevaricating and then wish I had not. A practice to be recommended!
