Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons is a practice with a family history in dentistry for over 130 years. The dental practice is unique and can only be rivalled by a select few practices in the UK in that we have our own, fully staffed and equipped state of the art dental laboratory on site. Our laboratory technicians are amongst the best in the UK offering bespoke ceramic work, dental implant and denture manufacture. Only a handful of private dental practices in the UK can offer this service. We also have our own CT scanning suite.
With many staff at Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons, we provide both specialist and general dental care under one roof enabling us to offer a unique service to our patients. Our staff undergo regular training and continued professional education to ensure that all members of the team are up to date with new dental treatments, health and safety and cross infection control procedures.
The basic periodontal examination (BPE) forms the basis for assessing the need for a periodontal referral. Additional furcation involvements and muco-gingival problems, generalised or localised, should be marked with a * in addition to the BPE score of the respective sextant (e.g. a sextant with bleeding on probing, no probing depth >3.5mm but furcation involvement would be scored as 1*).
There are about 500 different implant systems currently in use around the world today. Less than ten of these have any substantial refereed evidence in the literature, let alone long-term follow up evidence. We prefer the Straumann Dental Implant System and Astra Dental implant systems With more than 20 years of clinical research that have resulted in over 3,000 independent scientific publications, we feel that they offer the most extensively documented, clinically validated and practice-proven implant system on the market.

I am having treatment here and quite frankly, the staff are amazing. Reception team all pleasant and helpful, dental. nurses brilliant, My dentist is just outstanding and put me so at ease that I could have fallen asleep. I was lying down on the couch and dentist was treating me and I kept telling myself, do not fall asleep. Amazingly reassuring, very knowledgeable, exceptionally professional. People complain about dental care costs and they are very expensive but my oh my this practice is amazing. Nearly look forward to seeing the dentist. Thanks
