Services
Principal dentist Rishi Patel now leads a team of highly trained general dentists and Specialists following the retirement of Dr Tim Haywood in 2017 after 39 years at the helm. Dr Haywood had become the sole owner of the practice in 1986 taking over from the late Dr Malcolm Graham, the practice's founding dental surgeon.
General Dentistry at 33 Beaumont Street includes all routine care. Initial consultation begins with thorough and accurate diagnosis. Our aim is to preserve and enhance oral health and maintain healthy teeth and gums. To this end we source the best materials and use highly skilled dental technicians with the aim of achieving long-lasting and durable results. We continue to build on the foundations of the practice founder, Dr Malcolm Graham, who was a very skilled practitioner with exceptional standards.
We do not accept appointment bookings or cancellations via email. 33 Beaumont Street is located in a fine Regency building in the heart of Oxford. The practice is located within walking distance of bus, train and coach stations and there is an undercover public car park in Gloucester Green. Limited public parking is also available in Beaumont Street and St John's Street.
Our team of experienced hygienists are very competent at providing routine dental hygiene services. As well as supporting our general dental practitioners and their patients, they also work in close cooperation with the specialist periodontist in the practice, whose patients often have special needs in this area.

I have been in a lot of dental chairs with an extensive dental history and I have found my 'forever dental home' in 33 Beaumont Street. I had expert referrral from a maxillofacial surgeon to consult 33 Beaumont Street in March 2019. Rishi Patel has given me back my smile and my confidence. I had a dental implant placed in early 2020 and it was an unparalleled experience against my previous dental implant treatment elsewhere, both locally and abroad. Rishi's planning and care was remarkable in every stage of the process with dental plans discussed thoroughly with realistic expectations.
I have also had exceptional root canal treatment and 3 beautiful crowns placed that fitted first time. A first for me! I am very grateful to Rishi and everyone at 33 Beaumont for their kindness, support, care and expertise. Even if I relocated, I would still continue to get my treatment at 33 Beaumont Street under Rishi's care.

I've seen the hygienist for many years when I phoned in today (10th July 2019@12:30) to book an appointment I was told that they wouldn't see me without a referral from a dentist that showed I had a check-up every year. I could book a dentists check-up with them for a fee of 65 / 90. The reason they gave me for refusing to make an appointment without a dental check-up was they are not insured.
The policy appears to be some local policy and contrary to the advice issued by the General Dental Council which says that " Dental hygienists and dental therapists can carry out their full scope of practice without prescription and without the patient having to see a dentist first." As it stands, people might have an impression that there is a conflict in interest that you insist on patients having a yearly dentist check-up to be allowed to see the hygienist when logically people would end up booking with your dentists.

Visited this practice with my Mum as she needed dental implant treatment. Rishi and his team made us feel extremely comfortable from the beginning, explaining everything to us so we could understand. Absolutely beautiful practice and so thrilled with our service. My mum can finally eat solid food and smile again! Thank you Dr Patel!

Was previously good if expensive. After some time away I find that it has changed hands and the admin staff are less helpful. Also, I was asked to undertake an expensive consultation as a new customer despite having been a client here for many years. I have subsequently switched to a different dentist.

A pleasant and friendly dentist surgery-the staff make you feel at ease. I had a lot of work done with Mr Neilsen the periodontist-I would highly recommend him-he has transformed my gums and has possibly saved me from loosing my teeth. I was extremely nervous after years of not going to the dentist, but I have a renewed faith in this practise. Thank you!
